Late Afternoon

A lighting and composition study focusing on creating a "lived-in" atmosphere using ACES color space for high dynamic range.

Goal: The aim was to capture the specific "deep golden hour" lighting where the sun cuts low into the room, creating sharp geometric shadows while maintaining detail in the shadows using a teal/orange color contrast.

Technical Details:

Lighting: High-intensity Sun lamp with gobo blockers (tree foliage/window frames) to break up the light path.

Color Management: Rendered in ACES to handle the high-exposure sunlight without clipping.

Compositing: Custom node pipeline for lens distortion, dispersion, and split-toning to emulate vintage lens characteristics.
